Thank You Wedding Place Cards

Hi everyone!

This week, we got around to updating our "Thank You" wedding place cards. These cards are great to leave on your guest's place settings to let them know just how much you love & appreciate them. These can also be modified for a different occasion as well.

Our previous ones have all been in 5x7 format, with a graphic on the top. These new ones have a much more modern feel to them I think, and are formatted for a chic square 5x5 size. They can be done in any background color-in fact, if you send us a convo or email with an attached picture, we can pull the exact color right from your photo for a perfect match!

Custom Wedding Welcome Cards

Hey everyone!

So it's been almost two weeks without a post. We got a brand spankin new laptop, and had to take some time off to migrate everything over to our new system. Now that we're up and running, we wanted to take a minute to share a quick post with you.

A few weeks ago, we made one of our super popular Wedding Weekend Itinerary invites for Jasmine & Paul for their destination wedding. (Side note: I'm kinda jealous that we can't go because their itinerary sounds AMAZING!). This was the itinerary invitation:

 

A few weeks later, we got a request for a matching "Welcome Letter" for their guests. We don't currently have anything in our store like that, so we started from scratch. Here's the result!

 The "Jas & Paul" in calligraphy at the top were done by Jasmine's sister-in-law, who sent us the file to incorporate into the layout. The plan originally was to incorporate the calligraphy into the original itinerary, but it was just too many different fonts, and we decided to skip it. I think that it fits in perfectly with the welcome letter though! Once we play around a bit with the top to replace the calligraphy,  I think that we'll put them up in the store!

Purple Peacock

It's been another crazy week at Sugar Queens. We've been super busy getting out invitations, but we did have a little something to share with you. For your viewing pleasure-another take on our pretty in peacock invitations in beautiful shades of purple & plum. 

 These can also easily double for a bridal shower, engagement party, birthday party, or baby shower. We're really loving these!

Weekend Itinerary Invites

About three weeks ago, we launched our "Bachelorette Weekend" party invites. Ever since then, we've been going CRAZY with custom orders. Sure, we've done a few for actual bachelorette parties, but we've had some unique requests also. Our favorite two: "Wedding Weekend" and "Baby Shower Weekend". {side note: if Larissa ever has a baby, she better be getting a weekend extravaganza}

Look out for "Wedding Weekend" invites in the store soon. They've been the most popular! And our favorite is in the rustic floral theme which matches lots of other items in our store. Check them out!

Vintage Lace Part Deux

I said it last week-I knew that it wouldn't be long until we expanded this suite. The day after it hit the store, we got a custom request in for a matching advice card. Here it is!

I'll probably do a matching one in grey. They aren't up in the store yet, but should be sometime next week. Should we do a matching I Spy to complete the set?

DIY Wedding Project: "Pick Your Own" Escort Cards

Sometimes, you come across something so awesome that you just HAVE to share it. I'm a HUGE fan of  Rifle Paper Co {if you've never heard of them, you simply must check them out at www.riflepaperco.com }. They're a boutique stationary and design company, and they have amazing designs-including iPhone cases to die for.

I was browsing their blog, and I came across a DIY project that they designed for oncewed.com . It's a DIY "Pick" your own escort card box. This would be amazing for an outdoors, spring or summer time garden wedding. You "pick" the stick with your name, and at the bottom is your seating assignment.

Four Corners Floral & Geometric Invitations

Here for your viewing pleasure is another custom request. Well, the first one is a custom request. The other seven are Larissa just getting out of control. These are perfect for birthday invites (which is what they started as), but they're also perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, or any other party you're in the mood to host. Check them out!

Almost Autumn Time!!!!

Hands down, our favorite time of the year is Autumn. Cool weather, hot apple cider, pumpkin EVERYTHING if you're Vanessa. And wedding invitations-don't forget them. Just in time for your late fall 2013 wedding, we present for your consideration:

 The trees were handpainted and scanned into PNG files and are absolutely stunning. And since all elements are individual and repositionable, no two suites will be exactly the same. We also have a matching set in "spring" green colors:

Pretty in Peacock

Here's a quick posting of a custom request-a peacock invitation for a surprise birthday party for one of our friends. I had the hardest time finding clip art for this invite-there's a severe shortage of nice peacock clip art out there. Someone needs to rectify this ASAP because there's so much potential!

This isn't in our store yet because I'm not sure if I'm feeling it. We shall see-until next time!

Vintage Lace

I recently came across some really pretty vintage lace clip art that I've been wanting to turn into some invitations and I've finally finished them. At the moment, we have it in the store as a three piece suite that includes the invitation, RSVP, and an insert card, but I'm sure that it won't be long before it expands. Check it out!
